So, the news of Abhay Deol and Sonam Kapoor sharing a passionate kiss in their film Aisha doesn’t come as a surprise. What is surprising is the way the media handled it.

Unlike in the past, where the media make news out of a peck on the check, the passionate kissing between Abhay and Sonam went unnoticed. Abhay must be disappointed because his statement that Sonam was the best kisser failed to give the expected publicity. In fact, Emraan Hashmi not kissing in his film makes bigger news than Abhay-Sonam kiss.

Abhay, who had earlier actresses like Neha Dhupia, Mahie Gill and Neetu Chandra on screen, was all praise for the first-time kisser Sonam. He said that she was the best kisser out of the actresses he had kissed.

Aisha, produced by Rhea Kapoor and directed by Rajshree Ojha, is an adaptation of Jane Austen’s Emma. It is releasing today.She romances both Abhay Deol and Arunoday Singh in her screen debut Aisha, and supermodel Lisa Hayden has now set her eyes on Bollywood’s leading heartthrob Hrithik Roshan. impressed her as she is a huge fan of Bollywood dance numbers.

“While growing up in Australia I didn’t watch many Bollywood films, but the ones I watched, I loved them, especially the songs and dancing. And Hrithik Roshan is my favourite because he is such a fabulous dancer,” Lisa told PTI in an interview.

She got to see the actor’s performance live after they recently shot a commercial together and Lisa, a trained ballet and salsa dancer, wants more.

“I would love to do a film with him. It would be great if it’s a dance movie, because I love dancing,” said Lisa.

Born to a Malayali father and an Australian mother in Mumbai, she grew up between India, US and Australia and both modelling and films happened by chance.

She started modelling as a 19-year-old after tiring of waitressing and her first assignment she remembers was for a stretch mark cream.

“You could not even see my face in the commercial, just my stomach, that’s how I started. But it was after coming to India that it all happened in a big way. And acting happened when Mr Anil Kapoor spotted me at a coffee shop and then my agent got a call for Aisha,” said Lisa.

The 24-year-old has walked the ramp for top designers and graced the covers of most fashion magazines since her entry into the Indian modelling scene in 2007.

But despite all that experience in front of the camera, Lisa says that her first day of shooting was a daunting task.

“Acting can be very intimidating, because you are not in a scene alone, you have to be in sync with so many other people. And I did not want to come unprepared. So I actually spent three months in New York with acting classes, along with classes on diction in Mumbai,” said Lisa.

But the part that she enjoyed the most was the two dance numbers in the film. While the rest of the cast was left dumbfounded by the splits and turns of the salsa number Behke Behke, Lisa pirouetted her way through it.

“I enjoy dancing and we shot for the salsa number for four days and it was so much fun. Gal Mitthi Mitthi was also great because we all got to do some impromptu stuff and some crazy wedding dancing,” said Lisa.
