Akshay said “it takes me back to my roots where I belong. It reminds me about my old days. I feel so comfortable over here. So that’s the one basic reason why I wanted to do this show and that’s why I opted for this. I think that reason is more than enough,”

Akshay was a chef in Thailand while learning martial arts before he joined the film industry.

When he was asked about the show he said “It will showcase different traditional Hindustani Khaana. The show will provide a platform to acknowledge and encourage the culinary skills of passionate cooks and groom them to become professionals.”

Along with Akshay, the show will also be judged by chef Kunal Kapoor and Ajay Chopra.

The show will have 12 contestants who will be competing for the title and will be aired on Star Plus from October 16.
