September 14, 2011, (Sawf News) – Abhishek Bachchan sustained minor injuries – a small cut above the eye that had to be stitched up – while filming for Bol Bachchan on set in Jaipur.

He was filming a small action sequence at the time of the accident.

The actor, who is now back in Mumbai, made light of the mishap over his Twitter account, after thanking fans for expressing their concern.

“Bachpan me mere pitaji ne mujhe sikhaya tha… “mard ko dard nahin hota” :-) !!!,” he tweeted.

“I will be fine. Can’t say the same for the rickshaw!!! Banged him up good! Hehe,” he said a little later.

Bol Bachchan is a remake of Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s 1979 comedy film Gol Maal, with Abhishek Bachchan essaying Amol Palekar’s role, and Ajay Devgn, Utpal Dutt’s. The film releases July 6, 2012.

Actor Imran Khan Wednesday filed a public suit in the Mumbai High Court against raising the age limit for drinking to 25 in Maharashtra.

“After the huge success of Delhi Belly and My Brother Ki Dulhan, Imran waited for few days before he filed the PIL (public interest litigation),” said his spokesperson.
The delay in filing the suit was also due to uncertainty on his eligibility to take up such proceedings as he has US citizenship, but a queries under the Right to Information (RTI) Act has confirmed that he can go ahead with it, revealed the spokesperson.

“The delay was because the law had variations and he had to file several RTIs to get the correct picture. The RTI response came on Aug 16 and he did wait for Mere Brother Ki Dulhan to release,” said the spokesperson.

Bodyguard smashed many records, netting Rs 21.50 crore across India on its opening day, streaking way ahead of Ready (Rs 12.50 crore), 3 Idiots (2009, Rs 14 crore) and even Salman Khan’s last Eid blockbuster, Dabbang (2010, Rs 14.50 crore). As of Tuesday, the movie had netted Rs 128 crore across India, with a worldwide gross of Rs 215 crore.

And its lead actor, Kareena Kapoor is thrilled. “I spoke to Salman in the US post his surgery. We congratulated each other on our huge success and he asked me how it felt to feature in the No 1 and No 2 films of the year. I wondered which was which and he said we’d chat about it once he got back,” chuckles the actor, who after 3 Idiots and Golmaal 3, is being touted as the Rs 100 crore heroine.

Kareena admits that after they picturised the romantic, Teri Meri Prem Kahani, she was confident that the film would be a monstrous hit. “But I wasn’t expecting my movies to be competing with each other in terms of box-office collections. It’s something I’ve dreamt of for years, worked hard towards, and today, have no time to enjoy because I’m so busy.”

The actor is now eyeing a bumper Diwali with Shah Rukh Khan’s RA.One. “If Bodyguard made Rs 100 crore, then RA.One will make Rs 200 crore,” asserts Kareena, who plays a sweet and simple Punjabi wife and mother.

She adds, “Shah Rukh has done something spectacular.” The film’s music released on Monday with a live concert and she’s overwhelmed by the craze Chamak Challo has generated. “Everyone was waiting to see the full track. My fans like me in a sari, so do I. And now that the Size zero chapter is out of my life forever, I have the curves to carry off the desi girl look to perfection.” Kareena is equally enthused about another song, O Dildara…: “It’s a typical love song and I’m romancing Shah Rukh Khan. Wow!”

Husband Raj Kundra whisked away his actress wife Shilpa Shetty for a surprise birthday party as soon as she came back to the city after shooting for an advertisement in Madh Island. It was Shilpa’s birthday on Wednesday and sources say that she brought in her big day with a private birthday bash that included her close friends and immediate family members.

Shilpa herself was not aware of the plans in store for her big day and when After Hrs got in touch with her she had said, “I am in Madh Island shooting for an advertisement and there’s terrible network here, Uff!”

She later on said, “Nobody told me anything before I left (the shoot), so I had no idea about what was happening. But I’ll keep you posted,” Shilpa said. A family member confirms that there was a surprise waiting for Shilpa as soon as she landed back in the city, with a full- fledged birthday party at her home and then proceeded to a lounge later on.

“The party was planned well in advance. As usual, we wanted the birthday party to be a surprise for Shilpa. Raj wanted to make it special for her, like he tries to every year. But we still don’t know what Raj is planning to present her,” says a family member who attended the party. The actor turned 36 yesterday. She shares her birthday with another Bollywood beauty, actress Dimple Kapadia.

The song “Character Dheela” in the new Bollywood release Ready has reportedly landed the film’s lead actor Salman Khan and director Anees Bazmee in legal trouble.

A report from IBN-live says the Allahabad High Court has issued notices to Salman Khan and Anees Bazmee after receiving a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) against the song ‘Character Dheela’ in the film.

The PIL has been filed by the chairman and the general secretary of the Hindu Personal Law Board. The duo has objected to the use of the word ‘Raas Leela’ in the song ‘Character Dheela’. They allege that the lyrics of the song are defamatory to the Sanatan Dharma.

The litigation also seeks a cancelation of the certification of ‘Ready’ and an eventual stay on the exhibition of the film.

Justices Devi Prasad Singh and Justice Rajiv Sharma of the vacation division bench of Lucknow have directed Salman and Bazmee to file a reply within three weeks.

Bollywood sexy siren Mallika Sherawat’s brother Vikram Lamba was detained at the Mumbai airport for carrying foreign goods and foreign currency that valued around 6 lakhs. He was allegedly carrying branded accessories. He was booked under Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) and was questioned.

He was carrying goods above the permissible limits. Till the interrogation completes, he will be under the custody of the customs.

He landed in India from Dubai. In a span of one month, celebrities like Bipasha Basu, Minissha Lamba were detained at the Mumbai airport for carrying undeclared accessories.
