An item number by the sexy Malaika Arora Khan is considered a lucky charm by most filmmakers. So, it was no surprise when Arbaaz Khan, who is producing the upcoming Dabangg , decided to incorporate a sensuous dance by his wife in the film.

With brother Salman, who stars in the film, also agreeing that Malaika is a great dancer and crowdpuller, the item song was reportedly the last-minute entry in the movie.

Dabangg is almost complete with just some finishing touches left. The film is making all the right noises – be it the promos, debutante Sonakshi Sinha, Salman’s fun avatar or the rocking action. And the only thing missing, a sizzling song, has been added.

According to sources, Arbaaz has instructed that a different theme be used for the song so that it stands out and Malaika looks her best.

When Malaika Arora shakes her booty, wolf whistles echo through cinema halls. She’s doubtless a crowd puller and her hubby Arbaaz Khan has milked that advantage by having her do an item number in his home production Dabangg, starring Salman Khan in lead role.

Since the movie is set in the bad lands of North India, most of the characters are cops (corrupt though), goons, and small-town average Joes. Whatever little glamour the movie has comes in the shapely form of the newbie Sonakshi Sinha.

Considering this, Dabangg definitely needed a shot of oomph and who better to pump it in than Malaika Arora.

We hear that a song featuring the Chaiyya Chaiyya girl has been added to spice up the film. However, it remains to be seen if Malaika struts her stuff all by herself or shakes her leg with her bhai-in-law
