Panasonic intros 3D technology to Indian film and television fraternity

Panasonic brings 3D technology in India and takes pride in its association with the movie makers in the country and Indian film fraternity at large.
With the increasing success of 3D technology world over, Panasonic introduces Dimensions, which aims to give creativity entirely new wings that makes movie making and broadcasting more compelling in India. 3D which is seen as the next technology evolution helps in making images more real offering greater viewing experience.
For the introduction of 3D technology in India, Panasonic organized a two day conclave at Yash Raj Films Studio which included an experiential zone and live presentations thereby making it possible for film fraternity and students to have their hands on the latest technology including the knowledge of 3D movie making, post production, exhibition and audience experience
For creating 3D solution Panasonic ‘camera to couch’ provides the entire line up of 3D infrastructure right from production units that allows creators to develop best of 3D content to 3D display that allows a demonstration of the final product available to the audience. Panasonic systems include Panasonic Integrated Twin-lens 3D Camera for recording, Blu-ray 3D authoring system, 3D compatible digital AV mixer and 3D LCD Video Monitor for post production or editing. It also includes systems for display like Plasma Displays and projection systems for audience and 3D camcorders for home viewing.
While speaking on the occasion, Director Marketing, Panasonic India, Manish Sharma said, “Given the increasing success of 3D internationally, we are happy to bring this technology to the movie-makers and broadcasters, and the audiences in India. We take pride in our association with the Indian film fraternity, and this latest technology innovation will serve to further strengthen the relationship.”
Elaborating about Dimensions, Panasonic informed that Dimensions will travel extensively across India and organize 3D movie-making contests for students from leading film and television institutions all over India. It will culminate in November and the winners of the movie –making competition will be decided by a jury that comprises eminent people from film fraternity.
Panasonic’s move is equally welcomed with both hands by distinguished film personalities. Dimensions is seen as the way through which 3D technology gets widespread appeal in Indian film and television industry. Film makers see addition of 3D technology as a much needed dimension that enhances their story telling capabilities and gives wings to their creative expression not to forget the captivating movie watching experience for its audience.
