Shah Rukh cancels Mohali plans?

The actor had planned to watch the India-Pakistan match at the stadium but scraped the plans later on.

The most awaited match (probably more than the world cup final) is the one when India takes on Pakistan in the World Cup Semi Final on March 30, Wednesday.

The whole of India and Pakistan will come to a standstill tomorrow owing to the mother of all clashes.

Indian Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, who will be watching the crucial match has even invited Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani to accompany him.

President of Indian National Congress Sonia Gandhi, son Rahul Gandhi are expected to be present at the stadium along with finance minister P Chidambaram.

Bollywood too will be present in full force lead by superstar Aamir Khan who was to host a party in his house initially.

We’ve heard Shah Rukh khan too had planned to watch the match in the stadium at Mohali but opted out owing to security issues. He will now have a WC bash at his place.

Wonder if this has anything to do with his previous statement of letting Pakistani players participate in IPL 2010.

Shah Rukh had described Pakistan’s exclusion from the IPL as ‘humiliating’. He had said in 2010, “I think its actually humiliating to me as a KKR owner that this has happened. We are known to be good, we are known to invite everyone, and we should have. I truly believe that they should have been chosen. Pakistani players are the best T20 players in the world. They are the champions. But somewhere down the line there is an issue and we cannot deny it,” he added.

The actor later faced flak from Shiv Sena and various other political wings for saying what he did as it came after the terrorist attacks on Mumbai (2008).

The controversy lead to Shiv Sena trying to ban the release of his film My Name is Khan in Mumbai.

Seems like Shah Rukh’s opting to be safe than sorry this time around and thus the change of plans.

The actor who made a comeback on Twitter just few days back hasn’t tweeted about tomorrow’s game, thus taking all preventive measures to not trigger any kind of controversy, we believe.

Meanwhile, South actor Siddharth too scrapped his plans of going to Mohali citing security issues.

“I was planning to go to Mohali, changed my mind. It’s going to be too much travel and too much security headaches to enjoy the game. Watching at home” revealed Siddharth.

The tickets were sold out for around Rs 75,000 and above, is what we have heard!
