US dollar ends sharply dearer against rupee

MUMBAI: The US dollar ended sharply dearer against the rupee at Rs 44.98/99 per dollar and the Pound Sterling also finished higher at Rs 70.23/25 per pound at the close of the Interbank Foreign Exchange Market (Forex) here on Tuesday.

The Following are the Interbank Forex and RBI rates: (In Rupees Per Unit) Unit Interbank RBI Reference US Dollar 44.98/99 US Dollar Rs 44.84 Pound Sterling 70.23/25 Euro Rs 59.79. Euro 60.22/24 Japanese Yen (100) 54.76/78.
